After months of development, we are thrilled to invite you to the Public Beta for GameStacker, a modern, elegant, and powerful new home for all your video games.
Built from the ground up with the latest web technologies, GameStacker is designed to bring your entire collection—from the newest Steam releases to your favorite retro classics—into one beautiful, cohesive, and familiar console-like interface.
All Your Games in One Place
Tired of juggling multiple launchers? GameStacker is your new unified game library. It automatically detects and imports your games from services like Steam and RetroBat, with many more integrations planned for the future. Whether you have a small, curated library or are a data hoarder with thousands of titles, GameStacker is built to handle collections of any size with speed and grace.

Deep Achievements Integration
For the completionists out there, GameStacker offers robust support for achievements. Connect your accounts from Steam and RetroAchievements, and GameStacker will automatically sync your progress after every play session. Track your unlocked achievements, view your Gamerscore, and see what you need to tackle next, all without leaving the app.

A Truly Personal Experience
GameStacker is built to be yours. With multi-profile support, every user gets their own distinct space. Your achievements, play stats, and game lists are unique to your profile.

But customization doesn't stop there. Change your profile picture, set a custom device name, and even switch the controller button layout (Xbox, PlayStation, or Nintendo) to match your physical controller. The on-screen prompts will update instantly, creating a seamless and intuitive experience.

Familiar, Modern, and Built for You
We designed GameStacker to feel like a console dashboard—fast, responsive, and easy to navigate. From Browse your game library to watching game previews in the built-in media player, every interaction is crafted to be intuitive.

Why a Public Beta? The Road Ahead
Our ultimate goal for GameStacker is ambitious: to deliver a fully-fledged, seamless console experience on your PC. Releasing this as a Public Beta allows us to gather your feedback early and build the best possible experience together.
Many popular launchers have set a high bar with years of development, and we know there are areas where they currently offer more robust features. Your feedback will be critical in helping us prioritize what to build next as we work to close that gap.
Known Issues in this Beta
Transparency is important to us. We are aware of several issues in this initial beta release and are actively working on fixes. The most notable are:
- You may need to click on the application window once after startup to enable controller or keyboard input.
- Navigating back may not always return you to the previously selected item in a list.
- Controller support is a work in progress. While Xbox controllers generally work well, features like hot-plugging and holding d-pad buttons for rapid scrolling are not yet implemented. Other controllers may have limited compatibility.
- The user interface does not currently have sound effects.
- The screen may occasionally freeze after closing the virtual keyboard when using a controller.
- Steam profile doesn't switch automatically when starting a game from the library.
